The present piece is part of Annegret Kellner's 2023 series, Anesthesia. In this series, silicone casts of tropical leaves rest on large inflatables or hang on sheets of repurposed greenhouse glass, resembling immobilized limbs. The soft leaves seem to be in a narcotic slumber, passively resisting our attempts to consume them.
