The present work comes from Donglai Meng's newest series of painting, where she creates a story between a boy with a horse's body, and a horse with a human body. Both considered unusual in their surrounding world, the two "outsiders" seemed to have finally found their own kinds and developed a blossoming friendship. Here, the artist depicts a fairy tale like composition of the duo resting at the waterside.
